The Subaru Solterra is the brand’s first all-electric vehicle in the United States, developed in partnership with Toyota on a shared EV platform. The Solterra is a compact electric SUV with standard all-wheel drive, competitive range, and the rugged practicality Subaru buyers expect. It brings Subaru’s signature capability to zero-emissions driving.
Subaru also offers the Crosstrek Plug-In Hybrid, which combines a traditional Subaru drivetrain with a plug-in electric system. Charging the Subaru Solterra at home is best done with a Level 2 EV charger. The Solterra supports up to 6.6 kW of AC charging at home and uses a standard J1772 connector. A 32 to 40-amp Level 2 charger provides a full overnight charge for the Solterra. It also supports DC fast charging via CCS for faster top-ups on the road.
The Crosstrek PHEV can be charged with a Level 1 or Level 2 charger at home. A Level 2 charger delivers a full battery charge in about two hours, making it easy to maximize electric driving every day.
