Rivian Logo

Rivian is an American electric vehicle startup founded in 2009 and headquartered in Irvine, California. The company has focused entirely on adventure-oriented electric trucks and SUVs, targeting outdoor enthusiasts and buyers who want capable, go-anywhere electric vehicles. Rivian has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting new names in the EV industry.

The Rivian R1T is the world’s first mass-produced electric pickup truck to reach market. Known for its impressive off-road capability, innovative storage solutions, and exciting performance, the R1T can tow up to 11,000 pounds and offers over 300 miles of range in long-range configurations. It’s earned a devoted following among adventure-focused EV buyers.

The Rivian R1S is a full-size electric SUV with three rows of seating and the same off-road capability as the R1T. It’s one of the most capable family SUVs available, offering serious off-road performance alongside a premium interior and impressive range. Rivian also produces the EDV electric delivery van for commercial use.

Rivian vehicles use the company’s proprietary charging connector, but adapters for J1772 Level 2 charging are included with the vehicle. Rivian also offers its own Wall Charger for home installation, which delivers up to 48 amps for fast overnight charging.

Rivian is also building out its own Adventure Network of DC fast chargers, with stations placed near outdoor recreation destinations across North America. This makes range anxiety less of a concern for Rivian owners heading into the wilderness.

This hub provides Rivian EV charger reviews, Rivian Wall Charger setup tips, and home charging accessory recommendations for Rivian R1T and R1S owners who want the best home charging experience.
