How We Test and Review EV Charging Accessories

We test a wide range of EV charging accessories using our custom-built EV charging test bench, which simulates real residential EV charging branch circuits.

We evaluate plug-in outlets like NEMA 14-50 and 6-50, GFCI and non-GFCI breakers, extension cords, surge protectors, outlet covers, lock boxes, pedestals, wiring, adapters, diagnostic tools, and breaker panels. Each product is inspected for safety, build quality, thermal performance, and reliability under load. We expose issues like loose contacts, overheating, or grounding faults during testing. Once complete, every accessory is rated using our 10-category scoring system, with a final expert score from 0 to 10 for comparison.
