Acura ZDX: 11.5 kW Home Charger Charging Curve

Charging the Acura ZDX from 20% to 100% on a 11.5 kW home charger takes about 7 hr 6 min and adds around 212 miles of range. The car charges at 11.5 kW, giving roughly 30 miles per hour.

The chart shows two things at the same time. The solid orange line is the battery level, going from 20% at the start to 100% at the end. The dashed black line shows how many miles of range you gain as time goes on. The bottom of the chart is time in hours. The two orange dots mark where you start and stop charging. Near the end, the orange line bends a little. This is because the battery slows down on purpose when it gets close to 100% to keep the cells healthy.

Acura ZDX Charging Time Across Home Charger Sizes

The table below compares how long it takes to charge the Acura ZDX from different starting battery levels using home chargers from 1.44 kW up to 19.2 kW. The car has an onboard charger limit of 11.5 kW, so the best match is a 11.5 kW home charger, shown in green. Chargers above 11.5 kW are marked in red because the Acura ZDX cannot use the extra power, so they charge at the same speed as a 11.5 kW charger.

A color-coded table titled “Charging Time Across Home Charger Sizes” compares how long it takes to charge an Acura ZDX to 100% using home chargers ranging from 1.44 kW to 19.2 kW, across starting battery levels of 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. The 11.5 kW charger is highlighted in green as the recommended option, showing an 8.0-hour charge time from 10% to full. Lower-powered chargers (1.44 kW to 7.68 kW) are shown in light gray with much longer charge times, from 12.0 to 63.8 hours. Mid-range chargers (9.6 kW and 10 kW) appear in light orange, taking 9.6 and 9.2 hours respectively from 10% to full. Higher-powered chargers (12 kW and 19.2 kW) are marked in red, indicating they are limited by the vehicle’s onboard charger and deliver the same charging times as the recommended 11.5 kW unit. The recommended charger is emphasized with a star icon, and the “Electric Vehicle Geek” logo appears in the bottom right corner.
