The Chevrolet Equinox EV FWD works well with nearly any Level 2 home charger, with a full overnight charge taking about 9–11 hours.
The Equinox EV has an 85 kWh battery and an 11.5 kW onboard charger, making it one of the easiest electric SUVs to charge at home.
Charging from a standard 120V outlet adds only about 4 miles of range per hour, so Level 1 charging is best used as a backup.
Most owners will find that a 48-amp Level 2 charger offers the best balance of speed and electrical demand. These chargers add about 19 miles of range per hour and comfortably recharge the battery overnight.
Because the battery is smaller than that of any full-size EVs, the Equinox EV is also a good fit for homes with either a 100-amp or 200-amp electrical panel.
Below are the compatible 48-amp home EV chargers we’ve tested for the Chevrolet Equinox EV FWD. These chargers let the vehicle take full advantage of its 11.5 kW onboard charger, providing fast and reliable overnight charging.
