The Chevrolet Silverado EV RST Max Range benefits most from an 80-amp Level 2 home charger, reducing charging time to about 8¼ hours.
The RST Max Range has a massive 205 kWh battery and a 19.2 kW dual onboard charger, making it one of the few EVs that can fully use an 80-amp home charging station.
Level 1 charging from a standard household outlet is not practical. A full charge can take well over 100 hours.
A typical 40-amp Level 2 charger will work, but it still takes more than 16 hours to complete a charge.
To get the fastest home charging, install a hardwired 80-amp charger on a dedicated 100-amp circuit. This setup unlocks the truck’s full 19.2 kW charging capability, adds about 34 miles of range per hour, and can recharge the battery in about 8.25 hours.
If equipped with the required GM Energy PowerShift hardware, the Silverado EV RST Max Range also supports vehicle-to-home (V2H) backup power during outages.
Below are the compatible home EV chargers we’ve tested for the Chevrolet Silverado EV RST Max Range. Most are ideal for models with the standard 19.2 kW onboard charger for maximum charging performance.
