Design & Build
Cosmetically, it’s basic but functional. The gray housing is durable, and the LED indicators clearly show charging status. It doesn’t have bells and whistles, but it looks solid and purposeful. Portability is another strong point. The charger is lightweight, comes with a carrying case, and can easily move between locations, a nice bonus for EV owners who travel or have multiple vehicles.
The 20-foot cable gives you flexibility for different parking setups, and the universal J1772 connector ensures compatibility with virtually all EVs. Its IP65 rating means it can handle both indoor and outdoor use without worry.
Charging Performance
During testing, the Schumacher 12 Amp EV Charger consistently delivered a full 12 amps to my EV, providing a slow but steady charge. Even on days when I needed to top off the battery quickly, it performed reliably without any interruptions or errors.
