The Skysword Ⅱ is a versatile, portable EV charger. It offers both Level 1 and Level 2 charging, supporting 100-240V and 16A. With a 25-foot cable and included NEMA 6-20 and 5-15 plugs, it provides flexibility. It’s a safe, simple solution with LED indicators, ideal for home and travel.
The Megear Skysword Ⅱ Level 1-2 EV Charger is a portable Level 1/2 EV charger with 16A current, 100-240V, a 25ft cable, and NEMA 6-20/5-15 plugs. Safe and J1772 compatible.
Megear Skysword Ⅱ EV Charger Connectors
Depending on the charging inlet of your electric vehicle, you can choose the Megear Skysword Ⅱ Level 1-2 EV Charger with a Mennekes (Type 2) Connector or a Megear Skysword Ⅱ Level 1-2 EV Charger with SAE J1772 (Type 1) Connector, both chargers look similar in terms of physical designs, but the charging connector is different, internally, they have various configurations with the type 1 model having a Max AC Charging Current of 8A while the Type 2 model having a Max AC Charging Current of 16A.

The MEGEAR Skysword II is a dual-voltage EV charger that supports both Level 1 (120V) and Level 2 (240V) charging via interchangeable plug adapters. It comes with a native NEMA 6-20 plug for 240V charging and includes a NEMA 5-15 adapter for compatible 120V household outlets.
Unlike many modern portable chargers, the Skysword II operates at a fixed 16-amp output. It does not include adjustable current settings, a mobile app, or smart charging controls. Because it always draws 16 amps, the 120V adapter should only be used with a 20-amp household circuit, as a standard 15-amp outlet may trip the breaker.
Charging speeds vary with the available voltage. At a 120V outlet, the charger delivers about 1.9 kW, adding approximately 5-7 miles of driving range per hour. However, Lectron models generally provide much higher charging performance, with outputs of up to 32 or 40 amps (7.7–9.6 kW) depending on the model, along with intelligent power management and more advanced displays. The Megear Skysword Ⅱ Level 1-2 EV Charger features a NEMA 6-20 plug and a convenient NEMA 5-15 adapter if you have purchased the EV charger as your main home EV charger, we recommend installing its electric vehicle branch circuit with a NEM 6-20 outlet, instead of a NEMA 5-15 outlet, we don’t recommend using a NEMA 5-15 adapter in your main electric vehicle branch circuit installation, instead use the adapter when on the move and the only outlet available is the NEMA 5-15 outlet, an adapter can cause issues such as compatibility issues, reduced charging efficiencies, increased risk of overheating, mechanical failures, safety hazards, and charging confusions which can lead to user error and frustration.
